Position Summary:
Wayzim is seeking a Field Service Engineer (English & Chinese Bilingual) in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.
The primary role of the Field Service Engineer is responsible for the preparation, execution and reporting of installation and maintenance activities, and for solving all level errors within the systems provided to customers by Wayzim, also involved in sales opportunity creation activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform Installation, repair and maintain the products and system equipment at customer site.
2. Troubleshoot all level problems on site or remotely and provide root cause analysis.
3. Perform in-house repairs.
4. Perform any field service and create oriented sales opportunities and maintain a confident customer relationship for the company.
5. Provide technical support to or work with local channels for customer issues or sales opportunities.
6. Communicate with local or oversea supply chain about the customer issues.
7. Make pre-job planning package prior to deployment to site.
8. Submit detailed service reports and expense reports and perform administrative functions relating to billing and records.
9. Comply with all applicable compliance, quality, environmental, health and safety regulations.
Job Requirements:
1. Experience of supporting automated systems with a sophisticated level of electro- mechanical skills.
2. Experience with electrical schematics / wiring diagrams.
3. Skilled in the use of standard electrical test instruments.
4. Have Mechanical / Electrical / Electro-mechanical Engineering Diploma or equivalent.
5. Familiar with machining and assembly process.
6. Have good relationship with customers to solve field problems and satisfy customers.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
1. Knowledge of controls (PLC, PC) systems.
2. Electrical and mechanical fault-finding and fault-rectification skills, including the replacement and configuration of field devices (inverters, sensors, scanners etc.).
3. Experienced maintenance, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
4. Able to prioritize work as and when needed.
5. Willing to learn and improve technical capabilities.
6. Flexibility with time, able to shift priorities quickly based on staff and system needs.
7. Customer and service oriented.
8. Proactive and strong work ethic and initiative, who would like to grow and develop within the organization.
9. Ability to solve problems under pressure.
10. Pro-active attitude towards process improvement.
11. Cross-culture sensitive, experience with Chinese company is a plus
12. English and Chinese Bilingual, must be able to communicate in both languages
Note: This role could be offered as Senior level according to candidate’s proven conditions.
Candidate must be able to work at United States as a USA citizen or PR status. Wayzim won’t be able to provide H1B sponsorship to student employees.
